I took Tyler to an Allergist. I had to wake him up at 7 :30 in the morning about a week and half ago and take him in. His pediatrician was worried he was allergic to latex because his skin breaks out to balloons and also he is allergic to kiwis. He said they were all a related allergy. Little Tyler was so brave they had to prick his back six times and pour the different elements on his pricks to see if he would react. The baby in the room next door was sobbing. Tyler just twitched and fussed some but then we was fine. He didn't show any reaction, but they wanted to be sure. I then went up the Primary children's hospital and they ran a blood test on him. He also didn't cry for that. I couldn't believe it, he just held still as they removed the needle to and from his elbow front, while they blew bubbles to distract him. He was really excited about picking out a toy. Boy it was long 31/2 hours for both of us. We now have the results back and he is not allergic to latex but he is to kiwi and they think he has sensitive skin. We still will have to take him to an allergist to discuss why he is allergic to the spray suncrean.
Sorry, I haven't kept up on updating this blog very well, so let me catch you up on a few things.
First Kyle hurt his knee a few weeks ago and met with an orthopedic surgeon he also had x-rays and cat scan done. We found out that he tore some cartilage in his knee about fifteen years ago and that slipping down a couple steps just activated the tear. It has healed really well now so he doesn't have to have knee surgery. Thank goodness!
